ABOUT OUR FOUNDERS

A + Center was cofounded by Yehudit & Jacob Weinstock to help children overcome challenging issues such as, Social Issues, Life Skills, Autism, ADD/ADHD, Sensory disorders, Learning disabilities, and behavioral issues. In our years of existence we have realized that certain disabilities and behavior issues are associated with nutritional deficiencies, and absence of certain reflexes which is the foundation for normal brain growth. During our years of research we discovered that building a healthy functional brain, requires, FOSA which stands for Fuel, Oxygen, Stimulation, and Acceptance. If the brain does not get enough fuel and oxygen, it cannot be stimulated, and if a child is not accepted, whether it is by parent, sibling, or teacher, than the brain or child shuts down. Furthermore if a child has enough fuel and oxygen, but is not stimulated, (e.g. kept in a dark room since birth), the brain or eyesight will not develop as well.
Our program is based on the previous concepts and therefore includes a rigorous nutritional program combined with a sensory diet, education, and other therapies, like OT, PT and ST. Studies have shown that inhibiting the dominant hemisphere in the brain strengthens the weak hemisphere in the brain. Part of our therapy is to work the weak side of the brain by evaluting where the hemispherical deficiency lies in your child.
As we implemented our findings it is to no suprise that our program hit success and the children responded beautifuly, reaching milestones and overcoming disabilities much faster because a combined approach was used.
