HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?

A + Center is based on a one and one approach with rigid and consistent therapy all day long. Versus other therapy centers and special education schools that only provide therapy twice a week for half an hour. In addition, we focus on a full body approach that encompasses everything the child needs. This includes biological and physical impairment. When all missing biological components are targeted and corrected, the body is able to function better. However, since missing biological components had an effect of how the body was functioning until the deficiencies were corrected, the child missed certain milestones which can only be established by stimulating the brain, and after the deficiencies are corrected. In addition, when stimulating the brain, frequency not duration is the key. The brain needs to be stimulated frequently enough so the neurons should be excited just the right amount of times, plus the duration needs to be long enough for the stimulation to be effective. On the other hand, caution needs to be taken not to over stimulate the brain. Therefore, the therapy we provide are divided into increments and repeated every hour. Instead of doing just one therapy for a full hour, we do a little of everything each hour and then repeat it again and again. Thus, the brain is stimulated frequently, but not over stimulated with duration.

By implementing the theory that frequency and not duration is the key, we differ from most therapy centers. This is because most therapy centers do not provide the therapy frequently enough to stimulate the brain. In addition, the duration of the therapies are too long and it over stimulates the brain. This is besides all other therapies that we provide and the other therapy centers do not provide them. For instance, we provide Auditory Integration Training, and most centers do not provide it. On the other hand we also provide a comprehensive biological approach, which is not the norm in any therapy center.
